- Seller Profit Tools is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with Etsy or Printify.
- These calculators are planning estimates. They do not reproduce Etsy settlement or payout amounts.
- US seller defaults are a 6.5% Etsy transaction fee, 3% + $0.25 Etsy Payments processing fee, and $0.20 listing or renewal cost.
- The transaction fee estimate uses the item price and shipping charged to the buyer. Gift wrapping, paid personalization, and tax treatment may change the actual fee base.
- Taxes are not included in this estimate. Actual Etsy Payments processing fees may differ when applicable taxes are included in the fee base.
- Actual Etsy charges may differ slightly due to fee application and rounding.
- For planning purposes, listing and renewal costs are allocated to units sold. Actual Etsy charges may occur at different times and amounts depending on listing and renewal activity.
- Etsy Payments processing fees vary by bank account location. Sellers outside the US should enter their own rate and fixed fee.
- Offsite Ads defaults to 0%. Use 12% or 15% only for an attributed order. The estimated fee is capped at $100 per order.
- VAT, regulatory operating fees, currency conversion, refunds, deposit fees, Etsy Ads, Pattern, subscriptions, and shipping label adjustments are excluded unless you enter them as costs.

How It Works
Estimate the selling price needed to reach your target profit.
- 1
Enter the profit you want from one order and the costs you pay.
- 2
If the US seller defaults do not apply, edit the transaction, payment processing, and Offsite Ads rates.
- 3
The calculator accounts for fixed costs, percentage fees, and the Offsite Ads fee cap.
Formula
Percentage fees rise with the selling price. For high-value attributed orders, the Offsite Ads fee uses the $100 per-order cap.
Target price formula
- Fixed amount = target profit + product cost + shipping cost + packaging + other fixed costs + listing/renewal fee + payment processing fixed fee.
- Non-ad percentage rate = transaction fee rate + payment processing rate + additional fee rate.
- Offsite Ads fee = selling price x Offsite Ads rate, capped at $100 per attributed order.
- The estimated selling price is rounded up to the next cent.
Example
This example uses US seller defaults, no Offsite Ads, a $25.00 target profit, and $15.45 in costs and fixed fees.
Before You Calculate
- Adding target profit to product cost without accounting for percentage fees.
- Leaving out shipping you pay when offering free shipping.
- Applying a 12% or 15% Offsite Ads fee to an order that was not attributed to Offsite Ads.
- Using US payment processing defaults for a non-US bank account.
- Treating the estimate as an Etsy payout statement.
FAQ
Why is the selling price higher than my cost plus target profit?
Etsy transaction, payment processing, and Offsite Ads fees can rise with the selling price. The calculator solves for a price that leaves your target profit after those fees.
Should I include sales tax?
Taxes are not included. Actual Etsy Payments processing fees may differ when applicable taxes are part of the fee base. Add only costs you can estimate to the other cost field.
What if the estimated price is higher than the market price?
Review your product cost, shipping, ad fee, and target profit. If buyers are unlikely to accept the price, the order may not support your target margin under those assumptions.
